Vol 447: trois nouveaux corps ont été repêchés

Trois nouveaux corps de victimes de l'Airbus d'Air France ont été repêchés dimanche par l'armée brésilienne, portant à cinq le nombre de victimes retrouvées en deux jours. Samedi, après cinq jours de vaines recherches, l'armée brésilienne avait annoncé avoir repêché deux corps et plusieurs objets identifiés comme provenant de l'Airbus d'Air France qui s'est abîmé au milieu de l'océan Atlantique avec 228 personnes à bord. Parmi les objets figuraient des fauteuils d'avion, des morceaux d'ailes, un sac à dos et une mallette contenant un billet d'Air France. Le repêchage des corps et des objets a eu lieu à environ 825 kilomètres au large de l'archipel de Fernando de Noronha, situé à 360 kilomètres de la côte brésilienne.
«Nous avons eu la confirmation du repêchage dans l'eau de débris et de corps qui appartenaient au vol 447 d'Air France», a déclaré samedi le colonel Jorge Amaral. Le porte-parole a ensuite précisé qu'il s'agissait de deux corps de sexe masculin. Les cadavres ont été «transférés sur la frégate Constitution qui se dirige vers l'archipel Fernando de Noronha pour qu'ils soient examinés à la morgue de Récife. Le détail des objets personnels recueillis ne sera divulgué qu'aux familles.

"Even though he's 72, he didn't look old at all," says the hotel bartender, who described Carradine as "strong, happy" and dressed in jeans and T-shirt. According to the police, Carradine entered his room Wednesday night, and the door stayed shut until the maid arrived to clean at 11 a.m. on Thursday.

Federer ganhou torneio de Roland Garros

O suíço Roger Federer ganhou, este domingo, pela primeira vez o torneio de ténis de Roland Garros, em Paris, e igualou o recorde do norte-americano Pete Sampras de 14 títulos do Grand Slam.
Finalista nas últimas três edições, sempre derrotado pelo espanhol Rafael Nadal, Federer, número dois mundial, venceu o sueco Robin Soderling na final, por 6-1, 7-6 (7-1) e 6-4, e juntou ao seu palmarés o único título do Grand Slam que lhe faltava.
Federer, que venceu Soderling, 25.º do raning ATP, nos 10 confrontos entre ambos, tornou-se o sexto jogador a conseguir vencer os quatro "majors" - Open da Austrália, Roland Garros, Wimbledon e Open dos Estados Unidos - e o primeiro depois de Andre Agassi (2007), e tornou-se, depois do norte-americano, o segundo a fazê-lo em três superficies diferentes.
Se vencer em Wimbledon (22 de Junho a 7 de Julho), Federer ultrapassa Sampras em número de vitórias de Grand Slam.
